Volkswagen showcases ID.R Nurburgring record lap

Volkswagen Motorsport wrote history with the fully electric-powered ID.R at the Nurburgring-Nordschleife. Romain Dumas lapped the 20.8km track with the ID.R in 6:05.336 minutes - faster than any electric vehicle has done before.
Dumas beat Peter Dumbreck's (NIO EP9) previous 2017 record by 40.564 seconds and underlined once again the impressive performance capabilities of electric drive from Volkswagen.
