Volkswagen Singapore announces new Managing Director

Volkswagen Group Singapore has announced that Ricky Tay will be assuming the position of its Managing Director, as of 1^st January 2016.

He replaces Steffen Schwarz, who has been the Managing Director of the company since January 2013. Mr. Schwarz will take on a new role within the Volkswagen Group in Kassel, Germany.

"Volkswagen is making a fresh start globally - putting into a place a contemporary corporate culture and getting ready for the future," said Mr. Tay. "I am excited to lead Volkswagen in Singapore during this period of change, and look forward to bringing the brand, its products and its services even closer to our valued customers here."

As the Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Singapore, Mr. Tay will report directly to Weiming Soh, President, Commercial Operations, Great China/ASEAN, Volkswagen AG and Chairman of the Board, Volkswagen Group Singapore.
