Volkswagen to ensure supply of genuine parts

Even during the COVID-19 crisis, the Volkswagen Group will continue to ensure the supply of its genuine parts and with around 60% of its 25,000 service stations remaining active worldwide.

The Original Parts Center in Kassel will ensure that genuine parts for repair work will reach workshop rapidly despite the COVID-19 crisis.

The current order level is around one third of its normal volume. Volkswagen's current top priority is to protect the health of employees and suppliers at Kassel. At the Genuine Parts Center, comprehensive measures have been taken to ensure adequate distances between the employees concerned and compliance with the appropriate hygiene requirements which also includes reducing the number of people working on logistics operations at any time by about one half. Operations have remained ongoing to ensure the supply of parts to 86 countries throughout the world on a round-the-clock basis.
