Swedish brand Volvo is renowned for its cutting-edge safety technologies, and its trucks are no exceptions. The latest range of Volvo Trucks, comprising the Volvo FH, Volvo FM, Volvo FMX, Volvo FE and Volvo FL was officially launched on our shores yesterday at the Capella Hotel, Sentosa.

On the new range are groundbreaking features, such as the Volvo Dynamic Steering (VDS) as well as the intelligent I-Shift gearbox.
Also new to the range is Volvo's proprietary Dynafleet system, which helps firms to monitor vital parameters such as fuel consumption, distance travelled and idling time, and even has an integrated messaging system for firms to stay connected to the driver.
The Volvo FM, which is the most popular model in our local market, is a versatile, all-rounded truck that can be tailored to meet specific needs of the customer's business. Also, the robust FMX, the 'off-road' counterpart of the FM, is designed specifically for construction use. The new FMX features innovative solutions, such as Volvo Dynamic Steering and air suspension, for easier handling even in tough conditions.
At the event, Valery Muyard, General Manager of Volvo East Asia, said Volvo strongly believes that a good driver is also one that is efficient and safe at the same time. The advanced technologies on-board Volvo Trucks will also help make the driver's job easier and more efficient.
