For the upcoming model year, Volvo Singapore has refreshed its XC60 SUV, which will now be available in two variants: The XC60 T8 Plus PHEV and the XC60 B5 Plus mild hybrid.
The exterior of the refreshed XC60 sports features such as a front grille, roof rails, door mirror covers, and side window trim, all in gloss black. The model will also offer two new exterior colours: Forest Lake and Aurora Silver, with Mulberry Red also available on the refreshed XC60 for the first time.
Inside, both the XC60 B5 Plus mild hybrid and XC60 T8 Plus PHEV now feature luxurious Nappa leather upholstery, paired with either Natural Driftwood or White Driftwood decor inlays. The model has also been upgraded with refined accent trims, enhanced storage compartments, and redesigned cupholders, an upgraded wireless phone charger, and a spacious load area.
Both variants will also have power adjustable seat with memory, ventilation, and heating for the front seats, as well as four-way adjustable lumbar support. The comfort upgrades don't end there for front row passengers, with thigh support cushion extensions also now included.
The refreshed XC60 features Volvo's new-generation 11.2-inch free-standing touchscreen offering a sharper display. Its infotainment system has built-in Google services and is powered by the next-generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platform that makes it more than twice as fast as its predecessor, while delivering 10 times faster graphics generation. The net result, Volvo claims, is the infotainment unit is now more responsive and intuitive.
Both XC60 variants will also come equipped with the 14-speaker Harman Kardon Premium Sound System, with the Bowers & Wilkins High Fidelity System available as an option.
The XC60 also offers other additional equipment such as a electronically operated panoramic sunroof, power retractable door mirrors with auto dimming, and illuminated door handles with puddle lights. In addition, the driver's head-up display will only be available on the XC60 T8 Plus PHEV variant.
As is the case with most Volvo vehicles, safety takes centre stage, and the XC60 is no different, featuring a plethora of features such as Adaptive Cruise Control with Pilot assist, Blind Spot Information System, Whiplash Protection System for Front Seats, Power Child Lock for Rear Doors, and City Safety with Full Auto Brake and Pedestrian, Cyclist, or Large Animal Detection.
The XC60 B5 Plus mild hybrid comes paired with an all-wheel drive system and is further quipped with a 48V mild hybrid system and offers an output of 188kW (247bhp) and 360Nm of torque. It has a top speed of 180km/h and completes the century sprint in 6.9 seconds.
The XC60 T8 Plus PHEV is also paired with an all-wheel drive system, and offers a system total output of 228kW (306bhp) and 400Nm of torque. It also offers a top speed of 180km/h, but it has a faster century sprint timing than the mild hybrid variant, at 4.9 seconds. In addition, it has an 18.8kWh battery and a maximum charge power of 6.4kW. This allows it to go from 0-100% in three hours.
Volvo Singapore has said that orders for the XC60 B5 Plus mild hybrid and the XC60 T8 Plus PHEV are now open, with the first deliveries scheduled from June 2025. Customers who would like to "try before they buy" can visit Volvo's showroom at 249 Alexandra Road or book a test drive online at Volvo's website.
