Dongfeng Vigo Electric - Very good EV for first timer
I was considering smaller EVs like UT and Box as I drove a Honda Fit and used to smaller cars. I just so happened to be at Carros center and wanted to test drive the Box. Byran the SA let test drive both the Box and Vigo. Long story short, I was hooked.

Suzuki e Vitara Electric - Reliable jap ev
Drive almost like Nissan kicks epower but more spacious. Cheaper price due to ev rebates. However cannot compare with China ev with their bells and whistles. But price comparable with byd atto 2 and dongfeng vigo. Acceleration is actually better than China ev as lighter but suspension not as good as China ev with continental feel. Vigo has the best range among the 3. But buying this car will have a peace of mind as Suzuki can last more than 2 decades like the discontinued apv. Too many high tech make the China ev car complex and confusing. The China ev indicator stick is not something I am used to like jap cars. I have a lower learning curve switching to evitara from my kicks compared to China ev. Everything almost similar but with larger screens (of course cannot be compared to china ev) except this one eat electric instead of petrol juice. BTW the lithium ion battery comes from byd which may not be as reliable as lithium ion phosphate batt in China ev. Toyota bz4x and Subaru soltera cost 200k. This is really a steal. See whether the Toyota urban cruiser ev in 3rd quarter same price as same platform.... Read More
