Acura NSX Type S sets new record at Long Beach

The new Acura NSX Type S has proved itself on California's iconic Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach street circuit.

The performance car established a new production car course lap record of one minute and 32.7 seconds, nearly three seconds quicker than the previous best. Piloting the Long Beach Blue Pearl NSX Type S was Ricky Taylor, two-time and defending IMSA prototype series champion. The historic run eclipsed the previous record of one minute and 35.6 seconds set in 2019 by Sports Car Club of America Hall-of-Famer Peter Cunningham driving a production-spec 2019 NSX.

In celebration of the final year of NSX production, just 350 limited edition Type S models will be built, with 300 units destined for customers in the U.S.A.
