Porsche is muscling into the automotive retail sector here in Singapore. The firm has established a new company, named Porsche Singapore Pte Ltd, which lists its main activities as comprising the retail of automobile, parts, accessories and lifestyle products, as well as the repair and maintenance of motor vehicles.
The new firm is currently wholly owned by Porsche Asia Pacific, although The Straits Times has revealed that shares of the new firm will gradually be transferred over to the Eurokars Group, which is currently the authorised dealer for Porsche Cars here in Singapore.
Porsche has been aggressively establishing new urban retail spaces around the world, offering its customers a new and unique purchasing experience No news on the exact shareholding split, or the location of Porsche Singapore Pte Ltd's showroom has been revealed as yet. Nonetheless, you can expect the new retail space to begin operations in early 2023.
Existing Porsche owners can also rest easy in the knowledge that Eurokars will continue to offer aftersales services from its own Tanjong Penjuru facility.
Those eyeing the purchase of a new Porsche however, will have plenty to look forward to, given that Porsche has been pushing hard to establish new retail concepts such as its Porsche Studios, all located in high footfall urban locations around the world.
These studios will offer much more than a location to see the firm's cars, with a contemporary, boutique-like feel to their designs, and plenty of opportunities for visitors to learn more about the firm's history and moves towards electromobility. The Porsche Studio in Hanoi, Vietnam, for example, proudly boasts a dedicated space where customers can customise their car in privacy.
Both Porsche and Eurokars have been reaching out to customers and fans in new ways with recent experiential event activations including The Art of Dreams Singapore at The Promontory @ Marina Bay and the brand pop-up #DrivingTomorrow at Jewel in collaboration with Changi Airport Group.
The move from Porsche also comes shortly after the appointment of Eurokars Auto Pte. Ltd. as the second official Dealer of BMW vehicles in Singapore by BMW Group Asia.
