Audi has opened up 400 new positions in the IT sector.
The move, the firm states, comes as it deepens its software expertise. Audi plans to employ up to 2,000 new positions by 2025 as it pushes ahead with its transformation in future-related fields.
Audi is currently working on bringing CARIAD - Volkswagen's unified technology platform - software into its models in the future, while also developing brand-specific digital features on its own.
Examples of the use of advanced software in Audi's products include the Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron, which are capable of displaying virtual and partially dynamic content such as the navigation system's turning arrows, in the driver's field of vision on the windshield. This technology ensures greater comfort and safety on the road, especially in adverse weather.
The Audi activesphere concept, meanwhile, also allows occupants to view their real-world surroundings and the road through mixed reality headsets that simultaneously allow them to display 3D content and interactive elements in their field of vision.
All IT job openings can be found both on the Audi Job Portal and on a new joint career site here, and with Volkswagen and CARIAD here. Audi was also recently named a 'Top Employer' in Germany by the global Top Employers Institute for the third time in a row.
