Rolls-Royce has rolled out another special edition Phantom, this time to mark the Year of the Dragon in the Lunar Calendar. Despite a premium of US$800,000 over the ‘basic’ Phantom, Rolls-Royce has confirmed that all allocated units of the US$1.2 million bespoke variant is sold out in two months from the opening of the order books.
Some features of this special edition Phantom include embroidery of the Chinese imaginary creature in gold on the terracotta leather, as well as inlays in wood.
The sales is expected to add on to the high accelerating figures in China, which hosts the World’s third highest number of millionaires. This prompted Rolls-Royce to increase the number of dealerships in the nation by 10, nearly one fold of its current network of 14.
