Toyota rides the CEVS tide

As one of the forbearers of hybrid technologies, Toyota has come a long way in advocating for automotive solutions with a softer carbon footprint. The Prius' debut in 1997 marks the world's first mass produced hybrid. 15 years now, Borneo Motors (local authorised distributor for Toyota and Lexus) offers the most comprehensive lineup of petrol-electric hybrids in Singapore.

With the Carbon-Based Emission Scheme (CEVS) all set to come into place next year, the marque is ready to ride the tide. Starring the lineup are the Prius 1.8 and Prius C 1.5 - both qualifying for $20,000 rebate.

Five brand new models will also be arriving in 2013, namely the new Vios 1.5 compact sedan, Rav 4 SUV, Avanza 1.5 MPV, Yaris 1.3 compact hatchback and Auris 1.6 family hatchback. Together, they will extend Toyota's lineup to 11 vehicles. More notably, the new Yaris and Auris will attract a tax discount of $15,000 and $10,000 respectively.

Singapore will also welcome three facelifts from Toyota - the Camry, Previa and 86.

These certainly are good news to end the year with.
