The contractor in charge of constructing the Bugis Downtown Line station was fined $70,000 by the court on Wednesday for breaching safety regulations.
The accident took place on 18th July 2012, when the roof at the construction site collapse and killed two workers while injuring eight others.
The Straits Times reported that a representative of Soletanche Bachy-Koh Brothers joint venture pleaded guilty to failing to properly execute safety measures on site.
