Tyre punctures are a safety risk, as they affect the one component that serves as a point of contact between the car and the road.

Automotive tyres are the only point of contact between the car and the road. However, these strips of rubber are often disregarded and taken for granted. As the saying goes "Power is nothing without control", car tyres are vital in keeping the car in rein.

As with other components of the car, tyres require regular maintenance and upkeep to perform well. Motorists need to keep in check the amount or depth of thread left on the tyre, which will directly affect traction.

Tyres are the only point of contact between the car and the road, and play a vital role in keeping the car in control
Air pressure is a constant vital factor, which construes to the stability of the car and the safety of its passengers. Tyres that are under or over inflated will also increase rolling resistance, thereby affecting the fuel efficiency and running costs of the car, which includes wear on the engine and transmission.

Beside regular maintenance, tyres are also vulnerable to debris on the tarmac, which may penetrate through the tyre’s outer wall and cause a tyre puncture. In more serious cases, the tyre loses internal air pressure, which leads to a flat tyre.

Motorists are advised against driving with a flat tyre, as it deteriorates the stability of the car and compromises on the safety of the car. On top of safety concerns, driving with a tyre puncture or flat tyre will cause damages to the car, such as the bumper and rims.

A tyre puncture can lead to a flat tyre, and changing it is laborious and time-consuming
Most of us have experienced a tyre puncture before, and we are familiar with the aggravating hassle of meeting with one. Imagine the disruption a tyre puncture will cause, especially when you are tight with time.

Having to replace the blown tyre will also require strenuous manual labour, or cost valuable time in the case where a recovery service is needed.

And above all the prior, stationary vehicles have posed a great danger to the vehicle, and its passengers on the road.

Putting your car back on the road

Tyre repair kits are increasingly common in the industry. Unlike the conventional method of replacing the entire flat tyre, repair kits are less laborious to apply and use.

These kits also take up less space and weigh significantly lesser than a full-sized spare tyre, hence freeing up the boot well for other items.

TyreShield - Prevention is better than cure

TyreShield prevents your tyres from going flat after you encounter a tyre puncture - and it works without the hassle of applying a repair kit
Besides tyre repair kits, advancement in material engineering has led to more technologically advanced products that are able to bring more convenience to consumers. One notable product is TyreShield - a fix for tyre punctures that works on the move.

TyreShield is a protection system that seals the puncture in the tyre’s surface on the move. The concentrated liquid compound is filled into tyre through the valve stem, and forms a protective layer on the inner wall.

In the event of a tyre puncture, the pressurised air inside the tyre will draw the liquid to the source of the leak, thus, making it smaller or sealing up the puncture.

By preventing a sudden loss of tyre pressure, which may take place in the occurrence of a tyre puncture, TyreShield can effectively enhance driving safety and prevent accidents from taking place.

    Advantages of TyreShield

Concentrated liquid forms a protective layer on the inside of the tyre wall, and seals up the hole in the event of a tyre puncture
Unlike tyre repair kits which provide post-puncture fixes, TyreShield takes effect on the run. This also saves motorists from the hassle of having to apply the repair kit or wait for the arrival of the recovery van. In some instances, motorists may not even feel the tyre puncture in the first place, doing away with the emotional burden, such as being worried or distressed.

Besides passenger cars, TyreShield can be applied to a wide range of tyres, such as those on heavy vehicles, motorcycles, and even bicycles. In the most physically challenging condition, as trucks' tyres, TyreShield can protect them from tyre punctures up to 20mm.
