Beyond new cars at the Singapore Motor Show 2020

The Singapore Motor Show is first and foremost a sales event. Over four days, the various automotive brands and/or distributors set up elaborate booths in the Suntec City Convention Centre, with their full lineup of cars on display. The primary target audience, clearly, are people in the market for a new car.
However, just because you aren't in the market for a new car doesn't mean that you should simply give the Singapore Motor Show a miss. Here are six other things to see this weekend.
1. Russ Swift Stunt Show
A regular fixture at the motor show and a crowd favourite, Russ Swift is sure to entertain fans and families with his showmanship and nerve wrecking driving stunts.
Whether its going sideways, backwards or round in circles, the Guinness World Record holder will prove that no parking space is too small.
2. Automotive products and accessories
There are plenty of automotive products for existing car owners to peruse, including engine oils, in-car dash cams and grooming accessories. There are also booths on hand to serve all your insurance or financing requirements.
This year, these stalls are all located within the main exhibition halls on level four and six.
3. Brand merchandise
Need to do some last minute Chinese New Year shopping? Pining for yet another Honda t-shirt? The motor show has got you covered, with multiple brands selling merchandise at their respective booths.
There's plenty of brand apparel to check out, including caps, t-shirts, lanyards, accessories and even leather jackets and riding boots.
4. Something for the kids
Yes, you could even make it a family day out - there's plenty to keep the kids occupied.
Beyond ooh-ing and ah-ing at all the spanking new cars on display, there are also interactive experiences like Subaru's virtual reality experience that can allow anyone to get behind the virtual wheel of a car. And, if you want to take control of the wheel, why not hit up the driving simulator as well?
5. The Porsche 935
Yes, it's technically a car, but it's not a car you can buy (production has been fully allocated), nor can you drive it on public roads.
The track-only model, limited to just 77 examples, pays homage to the brand's endurance racer from 1978. It sees Porsche really going to town as far as aerodynamics and performance is concerned.
6. Motorcycles
There's something for bikers as well! Who needs four wheels when you can go faster on two? Ducati launched two new models (the Streetfighter V4 S and the Panigale V4 S) during the motor show, while BMW, Harley Davidson and Honda all have bikes on display as well.
