Five special sights to take in at Universo Ferrari

Trundling into Maranello the day after Ferrari's first Formula One win at its home Italian GP since 2010, it's no surprise that the mood is one of glee, excitement and joy. Maranello is a special place for car enthusiasts - this is the home of Ferrari, perhaps the most instantly recognisable marque when it comes to racing, performance and exotica.

It is here in Maranello that Ferrari is hosting the first ever Universo Ferrari. Taking place at the Ferrari's very own Fiorano race circuit, Universo Ferrari is a celebration of the brand's deep racing heritage and glorious road cars. Ferrari owners and enthusiasts come together to soak in the history of the Italian brand, as well as to experience what's to come, with the full range of Ferrari models on display. Here, we highlight five unique experiences to check out at Universo Ferrari. 

1. Scuderia

This year's marks Scuderia Ferrari's 90^th anniversary, and immediately upon entering Universo Ferrari you are greeted by the SF90, the car currently being used in this year's Formula One Championship, and the car that Charles Leclerc drove to victory at Monza last weekend. Fitting, as motor racing is at the very heart of the Ferrari brand. In fact, Ferrari is the most successful team in Formula One history.

2. Classiche

The next room highlights Ferrari Classiche, a department established in 2006 to offer owners of classic Ferrari models an exclusive service. From handling complex restorations to returning a car to its original bodywork and parts, Ferrari Classiche ensures that the invaluable heritage that these cars represent is protected. The fact that six of the 10 most expensive cars ever sold at auctions are Ferraris stand testament to the incredible value and heritage such classic models hold. 

3. Corse automobilistiche

Beyond Formula One, Ferrari is also present in other motorsport series, such as in the FIA World Endurance Championships. The 488 GTE Evo on show is the actual car that placed first in the LMGTE Pro categoriy at this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans. It is displayed alongside the Le Mans trophy. This victory is especially special as it is the 70^th anniversary of Ferrari's first outright Le Mans win. 

4. Competizioni

The 2016 LaFerrari Aperta and 2017 FXX-K Evo highlight two distinct sides of the brand's customer base. The LaFerrari Aperta delivers the ultimate in road-going performance and emotionality, while the FXX-K Evo is catered to dedicated track-going customers who want to experience maximum performance. These models also highlight how owning a Ferrari marks entry into a special and uniquely passionate community. 

5. Mondo di Ferrari

Finally, in the main atrium, the whole of Ferrari's current range is on display. Among the full complement of Ferrari's high-performance offerings, taking centre stage is the SF90 Stradale, the first series-production hybrid supercar in the history of Ferrari. Additionally, visitors can also get up close and personal with two of the latest additions to the Ferrari stable - the brand new F8 Spider and 812 GTS, both launched concurrently early last week.
