1,175 motorists caught beating red light by new digital camera system
26 May 2014|4,301 views
Barely three months after the setup of a new generation of digital red light camera system, the Traffic Police have summoned more than 1,000 motorists for beating the red light.
The new digital camera system works 24 hours a day and allows the police to retrieve the digital photos remotely - instead of having to physically replace films in the old ones when they run out.
The new cameras have been installed in thirty traffic junctions and upgrading of all 240 red light cameras will be completed by June next year.
