Having done its work on the Ferrari Italia 458, tuners Novitec Rosso could not resist the temptation of another Ferrari project - this time on the 458 Spider. Just like with the coupe version, the roadster has also received a carbon aero kit, superlight forged wheels, an engine increase to 609 HP and a top speed of 201 mph.
For the exterior the tuner is offering a new front fascia upgraded with a two-piece front spoiler and side flaps, new sill skirts and a new rear spoiler lip or a rear wing. All these elements are made in carbon fiber. The car sits on a new set of 22" forged wheels combined with a hydraulic suspension system that can raise the car’s ride by 40 mm or lower it by 35 mm.
Under the hood Novitec Rosso has added a new carbon-fibre airbox, a high-performance exhaust system made from nickel-chromium-based superalloy Inconel, which weighs 21 kg less, as well as sport exhaust manifolds, sport catalysts and a rear muffler with a sound control flap that can be activated by a button on the steering wheel. Lastly, a remapped engine management system for optimised ignition and injection was added resulting in an additional 39 bhp from the 4.5-litre V8 for a total of 600 bhp at 9,100 rpm. Simultaneously, peak torque has grown from 540 Nm to 569 Nm at 5,400 rpm. As a final touch, Novitec added a clear-coated carbon fibre engine cover.
