Aston Martin has said that it will field a seven-car Vantage GT3 lineup for the opening round of the 2026 GT World Challenge Europe, which will be held at the Circuit Paul Ricard in Marseille, France.
For the Sprint Cup, Comtoyou Racing will field three Vantage GT3s (numbers 7, 11, and 21), with Walkenhorst Motorsport fielding two entries (34 and 35). For the Endurance Cup, the three aforementioned Comtoyou Racing entries will be joined by a fourth (number 18) as well as the two aforementioned Walkenhorst Motorsport cars and a single entry (number 56) from Ecurie Ecosse Blackthorn.
Speaking on this, Adam Carter, Aston Martin Head of Endurance Motorsport, remarked that it is "fantastic" for the marque to field its strongest Vantage lineup in the GT World Challenge Europe, which includes two Pro cars filled with Aston Martin works drivers and also its two most recent AMR Driver Academy graduates.
As the world's leading GT3-based endurance series, it consists of five rounds and begins at the Paul Ricard, before heading to the Autodromo Nazionale Monza and subsequently, its blue riband event - the Crowdstrike Spa 24 Hours. The series then concludes with two three-hour races at the Nurburgring and Portimao circuit.
