9ff builds the world's fastest Porsche 911

The speed record was set at the ATP automotive circuit in Papenburg, Germany, and the top speed of 391.7km/h makes the 9ff TR-1000 officially the fastest Porsche 911 in the world. The car was reportedly a one-off special, built for a Greek millionaire.

Details of the car are limited, but the 9ff TR-1000 has a flat-six engine with larger turbochargers, an improved intercooler, sport camshafts, titanium con rods, crankshaft, a sport air filter, a revised ECU, and a high performance exhaust system.

As a result, the engine is able to produce a whopping 1000bhp and 1040Nm of torque. This enables the TR-1000 to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 3.2 seconds. 100-200km/h comes up in another 4 seconds, while 200-300km/h takes another 8 seconds, before reaching its record speed. 9ff even says the car can top out at 400km/h if the aerodynamics are further improved.

9ff has also given the TR-1000 some modifications to ensure that the car is stable at such high speeds. These include a body kit with a front splitter, modified side skirts, a rear diffuser, and a rear wing, plus a high performance braking system, and an adjustable sports suspension with aluminium dampers.
