The GT9’s body is made of lightweight carbon fibre underpinned by a custom developed steel tube chassis with integrated roll cage. Lightweight doors are bolted on while the side and rear windows are made of lightweight Makrolon perspex. The GT9 has a curb weight of 1240kg.
The mid-engine sports car is powered by a heavily modified 3.6-litre 6-cylinder twin turbo engine from Porsche. The boxer engine produces 740bhp and 910Nm of torque. However, 9ff makes a more powerful version with 1,120bhp as seen in the GT9-R.
The GT9-CS rides on 345mm wide Michelin Cup tyres to the rear and hits 0-100km/h in 3.6 seconds, pulling all the way up to 364km/h. At the opposite end of the spectrum, the GT9-CS will decelerate from 300km/h to zero in just 6.7 seconds thanks to a ceramic brakes system which uses 6-piston callipers with 380mm disks in the front and 4-piston callipers with 350mm at the rear.
9ff unveiled the GT9 Club Sport, or CS, at the recent Essen Motor Show, and the tuner says that the GT9 CS is designed for the track. Body changes over the standard 911 include new front splitter, widened wheel arches, redesigned side sills and rear spoiler, additional air vents added to the front fenders, upper and lower quarter panels and roof.
