Abarth has ushered in an electrified era by debuting the new electric Abarth 500e, a car it claims to be the most exciting Abarth for urban driving.
The Abarth 500e will be a better performer than the 695, having a one second faster urban pickup. The electrified Abarth is also able to do zero to 100km/h sprint in just seven seconds flat.
A more responsive electric motor, longer wheelbase, improved support due to widened track widths, and better weight balance between the axles will offer greater handling and driving dynamics, providing the 500e with a quicker response, better corner entry, and a higher cornering and exit speed.
The 500e comes equipped with a 42kWh battery coupled with an electric motor, producing a total output of 152bhp.
To minimise its charging time, the Abarth 500e is equipped with the 85kW fast charging system to charge the car's battery quickly. When in a hurry, the fast charge reaches 80% of the range in only 35 minutes.
The 500e also boasts aggressive elements on the exterior, such as a sporty front bumper, sporty lines on the side skirts, rear diffuser inserts, dedicated alloy wheels, and the new Titanium Grey mirror caps.
The Abarth 500e is also enhanced by full LED front lighting with a new Abarth signature, front and rear disc brakes, new front and rear Abarth lettering in dark Titanium Grey, new lateral electrified Scorpion signature logo. The hatchback will also come equipped with rear privacy glass.
