ABT creates a A6 Avant for the family man

The CEO of ABT Sportsline, Hans-Jurgen, explains, "The car is characteristically versatile, stylish and dynamic – and we have tied performance packages which are perfectly suitable to it." The manager of ABT Sportsline mentions the long tradition in tuning the A6 estate cars, “The history began with the introduction of the Audi 100 C2, with the new AS6 Avant we look back on 35 successful years of the noble lifestyle-transporter."
ABT currently has two powertrains for the new AS6 Avant. The 3.0 TFSI offers 420bhp, a bump from 300bhp with a maximum torque of 540Nm from 440Nm. The additional 120bhp provides the Avant with the driving properties of an extreme sports car. The 3.0-litre bi-turbo diesel gets bumped to 360bhp and 700Nm of torque from the stock’s 313bhp and 650Nm. ABT is offering lowered suspensions that provide a sleeker profile together with adjustable electric suspension with level control.
ABT tuning isn’t complete with cosmetics enhancements. For the AS6 Avant, ABT has added front and rear spoilers and side and rear skirts with quad rectangular tailpipes, similar to those on the Mercedes E class. The sportive nature of the car gets complete with the ABT CR and DR sports rims, available from 19 to 21 inch which blends well with the silhouette of the Avant.
