Aston Martin Cygnet to enter Bridgestone Eco-Rally

The Bridgestone Eco-Rally will travel from Oxford through to central London this weekend, and is the fifth running of the event. Aston Martin will enter a pair of its Cygnet city cars, and they will be piloted by racing driver Darren Turner and Aston Martin’s Director of Special Projects and Motorsport, David King.

King said, “To drive Cygnet in a busy city is to experience a car ideally suited to its environment.  Cygnet is tiny, with impressively low emissions but with all the style and craftsmanship of the finest luxury cars. I’m looking forward to demonstrating Cygnet on the Bridgestone Eco-Rally; maybe it’s my one and only chance to beat Darren Turner!”

Turner, on the other hand, said he was looking forward to trying out the Cygnet: “I have been a fan of Cygnet from the start. It’s a great city car, easy to manoeuvre and park and a lot of fun to drive.”
