Electrogenic converts Aston Martin DB6 to electric power
31 Aug 2025|73 views
British EV technology company Electrogenic has revealed its latest bespoke project: A 1967 Aston Martin DB6 converted to a clean, potent, and effortless electric drive for U.K. comedian Jimmy Carr.
Engineered from the ground up to ensure a seamless installation, the DB6 conversion integrates seamlessly with the car's original architecture and incorporates 60kWh batteries that are fitted beneath the bonnet and above the rear axle. This gives the DB6 conversion an output of 150kW and 310Nm of torque, with an optional motor upgrade delivering 210kW and 450Nm of torque. Both options can be applied to manual and automatic DB6 variants.
The classic car has now been future-proofed for an age of low-carbon motoring with zero tailpipe emissions. It will be on show at the Salon Prive concours at Blenheim Palace from now till 31 August 2025. And as with all conversions carried out by Electrogenic, nothing is cut, drilled, or welded on the original car, and each conversion is entirely reversible.
In addition, Electrogenic also offers a wide range of easy to install 'plug and play' conversion kits to easily electrify iconic models - from the Land Rover Defender and DeLorean DMC-12 to the Jaguar E-type and the classic Mini.
