Aston Martin has announced that its new DBX707 will now take on the role of Medical Car for the 2023 Formula One season, taking over from the DBX that serve duty for the 2022 season.
With a total of 697bhp, and a 900Nm of torque, the Aston Martin DBX can sprint from zero to 96km/h in just 3.1 seconds, allowing medics to arrive to the scene of any incident than before.
The DBX707 Medical Car is finished in the same Aston Martin Racing Green as the two Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team cars The DBX707 already has, of course, received numerous upgrades to its engine, transmission, suspension, and brakes, to set it apart from the DBX, but this Medical Car has also been upgraded so that it can keep all its essential equipment in its own place, so it is easy to check if everything is onboard. This equipment includes fire extinguishers, medical bags, and a defibrillator.
As the Aston Martin DBX707 Medical Car is expected to be take right to the limit on the track, it has also accordingly been fitted with FIA-approved racing seats, each with a six-point racing harness.
The passengers in the car will have access to communications from Race Control, but will also be able to see not only the FIA Marshalling system, but will also be able to observe the biometric data from the Formula One drivers and live television images, which will allow early assessment of any incident, thanks to the fitment of additional screens in the car.
The Aston Martin DBX707 will serve duty alongside the specially-adapted and equipped Aston Martin Vantage Formula One Safety Car of the 2022 season.
