Aston Martin presents 705bhp, V12-engined Valour

Aston Martin has revealed a new, ultra-exclusive, special edition vehicle equipped with a V12 engine and a manual transmission to mark its 110th anniversary.
Called the Valour, the special edition model is said to utilise a custom body structure and takes inspiration for its design from models including the V8 Vantage from the 1970s and 1980s, as well as the 'Muncher' Le Mans racer.
At the front, the car utilises a large grille, defined with aluminium strakes, while large carbon fibre intakes on either side feed air into the engine and brakes. These also frame the car's round head lights, which sit below an eyebrow-like element to give the car a menacing look. The bonnet of the car, meanwhile, gets a large horseshoe-shaped vent and two NACA ducts, also designed to give ample ventilation for the twin-turbocharged V12 that sits beneath.
You'll also have noticed the use of vortex-generating exoblades on the rear screen panel of the Aston Martin Valour. These work with the front splitter, prominent rear diffuser, as well as the car's Kamm tail to generate balanced aerodynamic downforce.
The tail of the car also gets a second visual highlight: A triple-exhaust system. This system is said to have been fabricated from lightweight stainless steel, allowing it sport a wall thickness of less than 1mm to save weight, while emitting what Aston Martin describes as a "gloriously heavyweight" soundtrack.
The taillights here comprise of six clusters of LED light blades at either side, and are separated from the lower section of the rear with a full-width aluminium accent, which is milled from a solid billet and polished to a flawless finish.
Powering the Aston Martin Valour is a 5.2-litre turbocharged V12, mated to a six-speed manual and delivering a total of 705bhp and 753Nm of torque. And the necessary handling prowess to rein in all this power is promised thanks to the use of a mechanical limited-slip differential, as well as a bespoke suspension with adaptive dampers, springs and anti-roll bars all honed specifically to the Valour.
In the cabin, the Aston Martin Valour will be offered with woollen tweed covered seats, which will utilise a carbon fibre shell. Carbon fibre is also utilised to finish the door cards, fascia air vents, upper centre console and transmission tunnel of the Valour.
This transmission tunnel will also house the gearknob, which customers can have in either machined aluminium, titanium, carbon fibre or walnut, and will feature an exposed shift mechanism.
Customers will be offered an extensive array of hand-painted stripes and graphics designs to personalise their vehicle, although the option to further personalise their Valour via the Q by Aston Martin bespoke service is also possible.
Production of the Aston Martin Valour will be limited to 110 examples, and production of the car is scheduled to commence at Aston Martin's Gaydon Headquarters in the third quarter of 2023, with first deliveries scheduled to begin in late 2023.
