Aston Martin reveals new J.Laverack .1R road bicycle

Aston Martin has unveiled a new road bicycle, created in collaboration with titanium bicycle manufacturer J.Laverack.
Called the J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R, the bicycle is said to be the most bespoke, advanced, and engineered bicycle ever created.
The frame of the road bicycle is made from titanium and carbon fibre, said to allow the bicycle to deliver the responsiveness that will delight everywhere from the rough cobbles of Flanders to the soaring climbs of the Pyrenees. The road bicycle also makes use of four-piston brakes, as opposed to the usual two-piston system, said to give it greater progression and feel through the levers.
Customers of the J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R will also be invited to Aston Martin's headquarters in Gaydon, where a full fitting will take place with the founders of J.Laverack, opening up a near-limitless opportunity for customisation. Aston Martin states the bicycle can be had in the exact same colour palettes and trim choices available on its cars, allowing customers to pair car and bike, if they so wish.
The road bicycle also gets a four-piston brake calliper and a C13 saddle from British company Brooks
The road bicycle also sports lacquered metal badges that measure just 40 microns thin and are said to be made with the same process that is used to create the badge of the Aston Martin Valkyrie. The road bicycle is also said to sport machined cups on its threaded bottom bracket which take inspiration from the central wheel nuts of the Aston Martin Valkyrie.
The J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R will also come with a specifically commissioned C13 saddle from British company Brooks. Each saddle can be trimmed in the owners choice of leather or Alcantara, and is finished with a single titanium rivet. The road bicycle will also be available with any of the three 12-speed groupsets used by professionals in the UCI World Tour.
Aston Martin is also offering up its online configurator to allow customers to visualise how their bicycle will look with their selected saddle and handlebar tape, as well as to better specify the colour of their tubes, lugs, forks, stem, seat post and handlebar drops. Those that want something more exotic, however, will also be able to opt to have the carbon fibre of their bicycle left bare, and to have the bottom bracket cups, brake callipers, and the brake disc centres finished in a bronze or black ceramic coating.
