Aston Martin has revealed new images of a prototype Valhalla as it makes its way around Silverstone, ahead of the firm's plan to start production of the car come 2024.
Prototype models of the hybrid supercar are said to have commenced real-world testing in earnest. Limited to just 999 examples, the Valhalla is also said to mark the start of Aston Martin's transition from internal combustion to full electrification.
The car is set to deliver a total power output of 998bhp, thanks to a Mercedes-AMG flat-plane 4.0-litre V8 paired with three electric motors, two of which are located at the front axle to give it four-wheel drive, while the third sits within the transmission, and doubles as the car's starter/generator. Aston Martin states that this power will see the Valhalla able to dispatch the century sprint in just 2.5 seconds.
The firm previously revealed that the car will offer a total 600kg of downforce at 240km/h, even through the newly revealed images show the prototype sporting a sizeable rear spoiler which differs from the simpler carbon fibre item that appears on the latest photos of the Valhalla.
