Audi A3 gets minor revisions for 2010

The changes will be applied to all models in the A3 range, including the three-door hatchback, the five-door Sportback, the A3 Cabriolet as well as the S3 hot hatch model. Among the changes include the glossy black B-pillars and grille, chrome touches at the air intakes, door handles, and side mirrors, and a redesigned rear diffuser. The taillights have also been redesigned with new tinted lens.

The A3 will also have a set of new exterior body colours, including Amethyst Gray, Dakota Gray, Scuba Blue, and Volcano Red, as well as two new 17-inch alloy wheel designs, and one new 18-inch design. Inside, the revised A3 features a new gray background for the instrument dials, a new flat-bottomed steering wheel, a new design for the gear lever for the S-Tronic gearbox, new black trimmed rings for the air vents, and a high gloss aluminium trim for the optional satellite-navigation screen.

There will be no changes to the A3's engine range though, with five petrol and four diesel units to remain available, all of which are turbocharged with direct injection, ranging from the base 1.6-litre TDI with 90bhp, to the 1.2-litre TFSI with 105bhp, and on to the range topping S3 with a 265bhp 2.0 TFSI unit.
