Audi celebrates Christmas with light-painted photos of model range

Audi is celebrating this Christmas by showcasing its range of models in specially created light-painted photographs. The first of the series, a picture of the R8 supercar, was presented on the Winter Solstice (21^st December) to mark the shortest day of the year. One photo will be unveiled each day for the subsequent 12 days to celebrate the joyous occasion.

The collection of images will show Audi's model range in an entirely different light. The very best of Vorsprung durch Technik will also be presented with pin-sharp clarity.

2013 was the best year for Audi as the marque recorded the highest worldwide sales of 1,575,500 cars. To maintain this strong performance, the brand plans to invest around €22 billion (approximately S$35.37 billion), mainly in new products and sustainable technologies, between now and 2018.

Audi also achieved significant success in motorsports, particularly in the field of endurance racing, by pioneering the use of hybrid diesel technology in 2012 with the R18 e-tron quattro race car. The Ingolstadt car maker went on to repeat its success story in 2013 and 2014, taking the total number of Audi victories to 13.
