Audi offers a look into future mobility at CES

From futuristic vehicles to technologies ready for series production, Audi will offer a look at tomorrow's mobility at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
On display at the exhibition will be the Audi AI:ME concept vehicle. The AI:ME is an autonomous, fully connected well-being lounge for the megacities of tomorrow.
Artificial intelligence allows the concept car to learn the desires and needs of its passengers, enabling it to proactively suggest ordering food from their favourite restaurant, for example. The AI:ME is also able to navigate to its destination independently, allowing its passengers to use their time on board as they please by providing a varied number of communication, entertainment, and relaxation options.
Audi will also showcase an intelligent infotainment display screen at the show. Utilising a transparent OLED display as its first layer and a second additional black layer, the intelligent and transparent display is capable of displaying a deep black not seen in current consumer electronics.
The intelligent display is also capable of changing the information shown so that it is strictly limited to what the customer currently needs. This can be information relating to navigation, but also communication and infotainment content.
Information is displayed on display segments that are partially transparent or shaded in black to increase the contrast of the display considerably, while sections of the display that are not needed will remain completely transparent, providing an unobstructed view of the road.
Also at the exhibition is the Audi Intelligence Experience (AIE) project. An artificial intelligence project designed to make the car an empathetic companion for everyday mobility, AIE is able to increase the levels of well-being, safety, and comfort for all passengers through intelligent functions by familiarising itself with its users and their habits, and tailoring its comfort and infotainment systems to suit their preferences.
With the AIE, Audi's cars will be able to carry out routine commands on their own, adjust perfectly to the user, and take as many things off their hands as possible. During longer drives or in complex traffic situations, for example, the AIE can play relaxing music, adjust the seat to a relaxing position, or dim the interior lighting when it is dark outside. Of course, the passengers can decide for themselves to which degree they want to use this artificial intelligence. Visitors are welcome to experience the basic functions of the AIE in a prototype at Audi's booth at the exhibition.
