Audi has revealed that its Q2 premium crossover is set to get yet another major update for 2024 after having received a minor facelift in 2020.
This latest update will see the Audi Q2 now sporting a high-resolution 8.8-inch MMI touch display, which now pairs with the firm's 12.3-inch virtual cockpit driver's instrument cluster across all variants. The car has also now ditched its rotary/push button control in favour of a new storage compartment in its centre console.
The standard equipment list for the Audi Q2 now includes MMI Radio, which features a DAB tuner, two data-capable USB-C ports in the front center console, emergency call functions, and several Audi Connect services such as remote control for viewing and controlling certain vehicle information including unlocking the doors or checking the fuel level.
Customers will also now be able to specify their car with a premium 13-speaker Sonos sound system, which comes with a subwoofer and promises crystal-clear sound. Also available is the Audi phone box, which allows easy integration of smartphone and the numerous functions of the MMI while simultaneously boosting the mobile phone signal (5G/LTE) to ensure the best possible voice quality during calls.
The upgraded Q2 will make its official launch in the first half of 2024 and is set to continue to be built at Audi's main plant in Ingolstadt.
