Audi releases more photos of the RS6 Avant GT

Need a little pick me up to kickstart your Tuesday morning? Audi has just the thing, if you're a fan of estates.

The firm has released a new series of images of the RS6 Avant GT, placed against a backdrop of the surrounding landscape that surrounds San Francisco, Los Angeles. And there's more: The car (in both Nardo Grey and Arkona White) is shown together with the car that inspired its livery, the Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO, which conquered the racetracks of North America at the end of the 1980s.

Only 660 examples of the Audi RS6 Avant GT will be built, all equipped with a 4.0-litre V8 that has been tuned to develop a total of 621bhp, while sporting an exterior that has its aggression level turned to 11 thanks to new wheel arches that sport air outlets, a redesigned front splitter, carbon fibre bonnet, and the omission of roof rails (to give it a more planted look).

Audi states that the U.S.A is an important growth market, and that it wants to strengthen its presence in North America. It states that it will launch a total of 10 models by 2026 to pursue this growth.
