Bentley has unveiled a new Bentayga S Black Edition.
Described as the firm's most visually striking SUV to date, the Bentayga S Black Edition comes sporting a pair of black-tinted wings, the first for any Bentley in 105 years.
The Bentayga S Black Edition can be had with an accent colour, which appears as a laser-like strip on the car's front bumper, side sills, and its rear spoiler
Customers will be able to opt for the Black Edition car with a choice of seven accent colours including Mandarin, Signal Yellow, Klein Blue, Pillar Box Red, Ice, Hyper Green, and Beluga. Their chosen colour will also appear as a laser-like strip on the Styling Specification body kit below the front bumper and side sills, and across the top of the rear spoiler.
This chosen colour is also utilised for the brake callipers of the Bentayga S Black Edition, which sit behind 22-inch black painted wheels. The SUV also gets its exterior brightware replaced with gloss black items, while its badging also comes in gloss black. The car is then finished with the addition of a Black Edition badge on its rear D pillar.
In the cabin, the Bentayga S Black Edition makes use of Beluga leather, with splashes of the chosen accent colour deployed throughout. Each seat is also embroidered with a black 'S' emblem.
The car also gets carbon fibre weave pieces on its front fascia, centre console and waistrails while its interior metal detailing are in gloss black instead of the usual bright chrome
Adding to the black theme, the SUV also gets a carbon fibre weave pieces on its front fascia, centre console, and waistrails. This weave is said to add what looks like a-3D visual depth to the fascia, providing the perfect backdrop for the Black Edition badge, which is inlaid beneath the lacquered surface to preserve the flush finish.
The Bentley Bentayga S Black Edition is available with a 542bhp 4.0-litre engine that develops a total of 770Nm of torque, allowing the car to reach 100km/h from a standstill in 4.5 seconds. A Bentayga S Hybrid Black Edition is also available, powered by a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine paired to a 134bhp electric motor that both allows the car to complete the same sprint in just 5.3 seconds.
The Bentley Bentayga S Black Edition further comes with Bentley Dynamic Ride as standard, the firm's electric active roll control technology that can react within 0.3 seconds with up to 1,300Nm of torque to counteract lateral rolling forces when cornering, ensuring maximum tyre contact to deliver class-leading cabin stability, ride comfort, and exceptional handling. The car also comes with a sports exhaust as standard to allow it to deliver enhanced character and volume alongside a performance-oriented feel.
