Bentley has announced a final edition version of its flagship Mulsanne to celebrate the 6.75-litre engine's 60th year in continuous production.
The exquisite Mulsanne 6.75 Edition by Mulliner will be restricted to just 30 unique examples, representing a fitting send-off for a masterpiece of British automotive engineering and craftsmanship.
With the Mulsanne completing production once the 30 6.75 Edition cars are built, the all new Flying Spur will take its place as Bentley's flagship model and the pinnacle of Bentley's exquisite range of luxurious cars.
The unique Mulsanne 6.75 Edition by Mulliner celebrates one of the most iconic cars in Bentley's illustrious history and will be based on the existing 530bhp, 1100Nm Mulsanne Speed.
Subtle references to the 6.75-litre V8 are evident across the car. A 6.75 Edition motif is stitched into the seats and recreated in chrome badging for the exterior and the engine bay, while the face of the clock and minor gauges will feature schematic cutaway drawings of the engine itself.
Gloss black brightware on the exterior will accentuate the individual customer's choice of paintwork, while the headlamps and tail lamps are wrapped in bright chrome.
Dark tint treatments to the Flying B bonnet mascot, the Mulliner Serenity radiator grille and the exhaust finishers bring definition to the front of the car, while 21-inch five-spoke Mulsanne Speed wheels will feature a unique bright-machined finish with gloss black pockets.
Under the bonnet, the engine intake manifold will be finished in black, and the Engine Number Plaque - traditionally signed by the craftsman that built the engine - will be signed by Bentley's Chairman and Chief Executive, Adrian Hallmark.
Four single tone hides will be offered with the limited edition: Imperial Blue, Beluga, Fireglow and Newmarket Tan. A bespoke colour split meanwhile will add accents of Silver across the cabin through the seat piping, the accent hide around the centre console, the deep pile overmat bindings, and the perforated hide of the seats and door inserts.
The centre console stack and rear cabin console will be finished in silver-painted veneer, while the front fascias and waistrails will be finished in high-gloss Grand Black, with the latter also featuring inserts finished in Dark Engine Spin Aluminium.
