BMW 335d Coupe tuned by AC Schnitzer - world's fastest diesel car

The record was broken at the Nardo test track in Southern Italy, by AC Schnitzer’s ACS3 3.5d Coupe, which is based on a BMW 335d Coupe. The speed clocked was 288.7km/h, a full 8.7km/h more than the previous record set in 2006.
While the tuning company did not reveal any details about the car, it website claims that the 335d can be tuned to produce 310bhp. AC Schnitzer are also holders of several records, including the world’s fastest road-legal BMW, set in 2006, and the world’s fastest LPG-powered vehicle, set in 2007.
Aside from the record-breaking 335d Coupe, AC Schintzer also tested its ACS4 3.5 Turbo, which is based on the BMW Z4 sDrive35i. The tuned roadster produces a power output of 360bhp and is capable of reaching a top speed of 303.1km/h.
