The revamped BMW News app, BMW's in-car news function, is now available for download on millions of BMWs worldwide.
With this update, the News app becomes a broad, convenient and intelligent service that can be tailored to the needs of each customer. BMW's decision to improve its popular offering rides on the growth of customers' desire for news-on-demand and infotainment podcasts.
The app's key functions are now personalised, allowing for the intelligent filtering of news. The app also boasts significantly higher audio quality, and benefits from the introduction of real-time news feeds. Accessing quality news will now be as easy as listening to the radio, making time spent in BMW vehicles informative and productive.
Customers will need at least version 20-11 of the BMW Operating System 7 to qualify. BMWs that meet the minimum requirements will automatically receive the update over the course of 2021.
