BMW encourages slow speed driving with artificial G-force technology
03 Apr 2014|3,035 views
German premium automaker, BMW has introduced a new Force Injection Booster (FIB) that simulates the effects of spirited driving, even when commuting at slower speeds.
The FIB system works from speeds slower than just 32km/h, recovers kinetic energy from the car's engine and converts it into positive G-forces. The converted forces are channelled directly at the driver and passengers through the air conditioning vents, while a mild electric current is delivered through the front seats. BMW believes this simulates the same exhilarating feeling of driving at high speeds.
This technology comes complete with the BMW AirNet, the latest in hair protection technology, to ensure that occupants don't have to compromise between personal style and driving performance.
The FIB system will be available across the BMW range from 1st April - although actual availability of the product is unlikely. As in the case of the MINI and Citroen - this time it's the April Fools' Day prank by BMW.
