BMW Motorrad Singapore celebrated the brand's 100 year anniversary with a half-day event hosted at The Coastal Settlement on 15 April.
Alongside a selection of food and drinks, the event showcased three bikes - the R 18 B, the new MY2023 S1000RR, as well as the special edition R nineT 100 Years.
The R nineT 100 Years is a limited-number model, with only 1,923 units being built. Besides a special badge on the tank to indicate its exclusivity, the model also features a chrome-plated tank and paint-on-chrome technology, which is reminiscent of the 1969 R 75/5.
The R 18 B is the bagger take on BMW's R 18 cruiser, blending classic low-slung styling and fixed cases with all the modern amenities you expect from a contemporary motorcycle, including a 10-inch TFT display.
The new S1000RR, on the other hand, is all about taking performance to ever greater levels. Already an extreme sports bike, the S1000RR has been updated to be even more focused - integration of M components (such as the massive winglets at the front) and improvements to the electronics make for an even more potent track weapon.
During the event, riders also got the chance to test ride a range of BMW bikes around the windy roads in the Changi Village area.
