Borneo Motors launches Toyota Noah Hybrid in Singapore

Less than a month after it was first previewed, the Toyota Noah Hybrid has officially been launched in Singapore by authorised dealer (AD) Borneo Motors. Its arrival now adds a third member to Borneo Motors' Toyota MPV lineup in Singapore, ensuring that buyers now have compact, mid-sized and full-sized options.
Stretching out at nearly 4.7 metres long, more than 1.8 metres tall, and with a wheelbase of 2,850mm, the Noah Hybrid gets a 2+2+3 seating layout that should offer significantly more passenger space than in the compact Sienta Hybrid.
Sold exclusively in the Elegance trim (with an aero kit), the Noah Hybrid promises more space and versatility than the smaller Sienta Hybrid
Crucially, however, it does this without reaching the more dizzying heights of the Alphard Hybrid and Vellfire Hybrid in size, and perhaps more importantly, in terms of pricing.
The MPV is being sold by Borneo Motors solely in the 'Elegance' trim, comes with LED head and taillights, and is fitted with an aero bodykit that adds extra spice to its front and rear bumpers, side mud guards and front grille. It also rides on 16-inch wheels with aero rims.
The Noah Hybrid's factory-fitted 9.0-inch infotainment touchscreen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto
While the latest Noah Hybrid has admittedly been sold by parallel importers for quite some time now, it's worth noting that AD units are exclusive in offering occupants a factory-fitted 9.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto support.
Other notable features up front include a 4.2-inch LCD display flanked by two analogue gauges, as well as an electronic parking brake. The Noah Hybrid also gets tri-zone automatic air-conditioning - for the two front occupants, and for rear passengers - and leather upholstery throughout its cabin.
Speaking of the rear passengers, climbing aboard the Noah Hybrid promises to be a fuss-free affair.
Its dual powered sliding doors are equipped with kick sensors for hands-free activation, and open to reveal full-length side access grab handles for easier entry and exit. Those lucky enough to find themselves seated on the two captain's chairs in the second row are also treated to roller shades and a fold-up sidetray with two cupholders.
And when you're ferrying only four, the Noah Hybrid's last row of seats can be folded up for extra boot space. In this configuration, the car can swallow three full-sized luggages simultaneously.
Propelling the Noah Hybrid is a self-charging hybrid powertrain composed of a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated engine and a 70kW (94bhp) electric motor, which jointly put out a maximum of 138bhp. All of this power is sent solely to the front wheels via an e-CVT.
While performance may not be the calling card of this setup, fuel efficiency certainly is: Toyota is claiming an official consumption figure of 22.7km/L, which translates to an impressive 1,180km of driving range on a full tank.
The Noah Hybrid is also equipped with the 'Toyota Safety Sense' suite of driving assistance features, with the likes of Road Sign Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Blind Spot Monitors helping to take the stress out of daily commutes. The MPV is further equipped with a panoramic view parking camera, and comes with six airbags.
The all-new Toyota Noah Hybrid is now available for purchase via Borneo Motors, and is priced at $238,888 including COE.
