Borneo Motors Singapore (BMS) announced the official opening of its Inchcape Bodycare Centre (IBC) in Singapore, 4 Pandan Crescent. The new facility is the biggest Body and Paint workshop owned by BMS to-date, covering 60,000 square feet.
The $2.6 milion investment is the latest move by the company to strengthen its body and paint offerings to their customers. The IBC boasts of state-of-the-art technology, and precision tools every step of the process in its accident repair works, as well as painting and car finishing.
With a total of 73 servicing bays, the facility now holds a servicing capacity of up to 600 vehicles per month, regardless of the level of damage.
Designed with efficiency in mind, the workshop layout was thoroughly thought out with a central highway to ease a step-by-step servicing process line.
The layout, coupled with new features like bays with floor suction technology for sanding jobs to produce better quality paint finishing and drive-through spray booths with two times down draft flow, comes together to provide customers high-quality servicing results and works.
Apart from improved control systems and technology, the facility embarks on offering customers the option of using waterborne paint. Usage of waterborne paint reduces emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which marks a significant footprint in the conservation of our environment. VOC emission is toxic and is known to contribute to air and water pollution, detrimental to health.
Firmly shared by Mr. Koh Ching Hong, CEO Inchcape South Asia, "IBC is our commitment in our Customer 1st journey to provide our customers greater service, increased efficiency and shorter turn-around time to our customers. The use of waterborne paint gives environmentally conscious customers the option to make a personal choice of reducing their carbon footprint in the environment."
Mr. Stefan Bomhard, Inchcape Group CEO said, "Asia Pacific remains a key pillar of growth for the Inchcape Group. In view of the potential market upturn due to the 10-year COE cycle in Singapore, we recognise the need to be prepared to meet demands with increased capacity. We will continue to invest in facilities equipped with new technologies and to provide our customers with world-class services."
