Toyotsu Binter marked its appointment as the authorised Dunlop Tyres distributor in Singapore and Malaysia with a celebration titled, 'Taking You Beyond'.
Toyotsu Binter is a partnership between Binter and Toyota Tsuho Corporation. Most drivers don't realise this, but many of the parts used in Toyota models are distributed by Toyotsu Binter.
'Taking You Beyond', which took place at Pan Pacific Singapore, also marked the launch of three new Dunlop tyres: Blue Response TG, Sport Maxx Lux, and e.Sport Maxx. All three are suitable for electric vehicle (EV) use.
Blue Response TG promises balanced performance with a 25% improvement in handling stability, a 10% improvement in wet grip performance, and a 10% increase in service life over the SP Sport LM705, which it succeeds.
Blue Response TG's new profile design features higher centre block rigidity for enhanced steering feel, while the softer sidewalls deliver better ride comfort.
Aimed at the premium comfort-performance segment, on the other hand, is the Sport Maxx Lux, which offers both pliancy and dynamic handling in equal measure. Its new tread pattern, which incorporates Seamless Groove and Silent Wave technologies, reduces both tyre and road noise.
Sport Maxx Lux also features Maxx Drivability Technology that improves handling by widening the contact patch, thereby also helping the tyre optimise its roadholding.
The e.Sport Maxx is Dunlop's premium summer touring tyre that's primarily designed for both EVs and hybrids. Its key features include Silent Core, a rounded shoulder design, and Pressure Control Technology.
Silent Core is a specially engineered foam layer inside the tyre that absorbs noise for a quieter ride, while the rounded shoulder design improves aerodynamic performance. Meanwhile, Pressure Control Technology helps prevent the formation of cracks, enhancing wear resistance and service life.
In addition, Dunlop says that the e.Sport Maxx offers better rolling resistance than before and delivers 11.1% more driving range compared to previous models.
Apart from the product launch, a lucky draw was also held. Winning guests went home with prizes such as Macbooks, Apple Watches, Apple iPads, and an iPhone 17 Pro Max.
In his closing speech, Marcus Lim, Toyotsu Binter's Managing Director, again thanked the dealers for their consistent and strong support. He also highlighted that under Sumitomo Rubber Industries' direct ownership, they could look forward to even better products from Dunlop in the future.
