Utilising the all new 2015 WRX STI performance saloon - which made its local debut early this week - British Rally ace, Mark Higgins, will try to set a new lap record on the Isle of Man TT course.

Higgins achieved an average speed of 185km/h around the famous TT Mountain circuit in a production version of the iconic Japanese performance saloon.
In his previous record attempt on the course, Higgins created one of the most memorable race videos when he had a self-described 'moment' at the bottom of Bray Hill at 241km/h.
As with the previous record breaking run, the new WRX STI is a standard - U.S. Spec - production car, housing a 305bhp, 392Nm rated, 2.5-litre turbocharged Boxer engine, stock brake callipers and road legal tyres.
The springs and dampers have been adjusted slightly to minimise any potential damage, along with equiping the sedan with safety features - including a roll-cage, race harness and fire suppression system.
Subaru will complete three timed runs under closed road conditions on the 31st of May, 2nd June and 4th June.
