On 12 February 2025, Subaru U.K. & Ireland launched the latest generation of the Forester e-BOXER SUV, which will also be available to order through the brand's U.K. dealer network.
Built on the evolved Subaru Global Platform, the new Forester showcases technical advances across its chassis and powertrain. In addition, the platform features full inner frame construction and expanded use of structural adhesive which, combined with increased rigidity at suspension mounting points, delivers a 10% improvement in chassis torsional rigidity compared to its predecessor.
The new SUV also retains Subaru's combination of Permanent Symmetrical AWD and e-BOXER hybrid powertrain, with its 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine featuring 24 technical improvements. Its new dual-pinion electric power steering system (EPS) provides improved response and more natural feedback. It also offers AWD traction and 220mm of ground clearance.
Having long been a leader in automotive safety, the new model features the latest iteration of Subaru's Eyesight Driver Assist Technology, a significant advancement in collision prevention safety. The system offers enhanced recognition performance across its 15 functions, including five new features such as the Emergency Driving Stop System, which works alongside the upgraded Driver Monitoring System.
Inside, its cabin noise has been reduced by 39%, with new front seats minimising head sway. The modern and well-lit cabin also features an 11.6-inch Full HD infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay and Android auto, as well as both Apple Maps and what3words. The Forester e-BOXER also offers 508 litres of boot space, which expands to 1,720 litres with rear sears folded.
