Cadillac launches the CTS-V Coupe

The Cadillac CTS-V Coupe uses the same 6.2-litre supercharged V8 engine as the Cadillac CTS-V Sports Sedan, and produces 556bhp and 747Nm of torque. This enables the 2+2 performance coupe to go from 0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via either a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters, as well as a limited slip differential. The CTS-V Coupe also has Cadillac's Magnetic Ride Control with two selectable modes (Tour and Sport) and Brembo brakes with six-piston callipers in the front and four-piston callipers in the rear.

Cadillac says that the CTS-V Coupe has the same wheelbase as the CTS-V Sports Sedan, but is 51mm lower in height and 51mm shorter in length. The rear track is also wider than the Sports Sedan by about 25mm. Other differences from the sedan include the bulging bonnet, slightly redesigned front and rear, and unique 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tyres.

Cadillac has not released pictures of the CTS-V Coupe’s interior, but says that the steering wheel, seat inserts and shifter are covered in microfiber, while Obsidian black material is used on the centre console and door trim. Available options will include an exclusive new Saffron colour and special Recaro sport seats that are 14-way adjustable and include pneumatic bolster controls in the seat cushions and backrests.
