Cadillac's Goddess to return on all-electric Celestiq

Cadillac has announced that it is reviving 'The Goddess', a mascot that first appeared on its vehicles in the 1930s.
Last utilised on the bespoke 1959 Eldorado Brougham, the mascot is now set to return on the Celestiq flagship sedan (read more about the Celestiq show car here). The mascot has been reimagined by Cadillac Creative Sculptor Richard Wiquist, who is said to have spent months handcrafting its new form in clay, refining the delicate impressionistic style until its gesture captured the essence of motion with a soaring stance.
This new Goddess will appear on the front quarter panel and within the multi-function controller on the centre console of the Celestiq. The piece that appears on the front quarter panel is milled from a piece of aluminium, and is polished, brushed, and tinted before being encased in glass.
The one in the infotainment controller, meanwhile, is backlit, and also encased in glass. The dial in which she sits in is said to turn independently, ensuring that she always remains upright. A Goddess emblem also appears above the car's charge port to serve as a visual indicator that the car is being charged.
