Celebratory Mercedes-Benz SLC Final Edition marks the end of production

The production of the Mercedes-Benz SLC two-door roadster is coming to an end after 23 years, and the brand is marking the end of its cult roadster with the launch of the celebratory SLC Final Edition marking the pinnacle of the current model generation.
The SLK first appeared as a production model in 1996, founding a new generation of roadsters. For the first time, Mercedes-Benz had produced a roadster whose fixed vario-roof redefined the roadster segment by combining open-air driving pleasure with uncompromised comfort in poor weather. To celebrate the orignal SLK's yellowstone launch colour, the SLC Final Edition is available in the exclusive sun yellow paint finish.
The special model is based on the AMG Line, which includes AMG Styling bumpers at the front and rear, sport suspension, as well as a larger braking system with perforated brake discs and front calipers sporting the 'Mercedes-Benz' logotype. The interior is characterised by two-tone nappa leather in black/silver, with alpaca grey topstitching. The alpaca grey seat belts echo the colour of the topstitching. Carbon fibre look leather inserts in the head restraints and the upper section of the seatbacks round off the exquisite interior design of the SLC Final Edition.

The SLC Final Edition is offered with four engine options - a 154bhp 1.6-litre engine in the SLC 180, a 181bhp 2.0-litre engine in the SLC 200, a 242bhp 2.0-litre engine in the SLC 300, as well as a 383bhp 3.0-litre V6 in the AMG SLC 43.
