Chrysler releases official photos of the new 200 Convertible

While replacing the Sebring, the new 200 is still based on its predecessor, and bears a similar design to the Sebring, with a few minor changes inside and out. The noticeable cosmetic changes include new bumpers, restyled headlights, a revised grille, and LED taillights.

Like the Sebring Convertible, the 200 Convertible is unique in that it offers buyer a choice of a cloth folding roof, or a body-coloured retractable hardtop. Both roof options can be remotely operated by a button on the key fob. The interior has also been improved, with a new steering wheel, a revisedinstrumentcluster, soft-touch armrests, and silver-painted plastic accents among the changes.

Two engines are available for the 200 Convertible. The first is a 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol that produces 173bhp and 225Nm of torque, while the other unit is a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 engine that produces 283bhp and 353Nm of torque. Both come with a six-speed automatic gearbox as standard, and Chrysler has also retuned the car's suspension for better handling.
