Looks like Christmas has come early. At least for those who chose not to buy Cat A COE cars, that is.
The last bidding session for the year saw premiums climbing for Cat A, while those for Cat B and E slipped. This latest change to the premiums could have been a result of buyers looking to secure their Cat A COE-friendly electric cars finally making their purchases in order to take advantage of the available subsidies associated with the Vehicular Emissions Scheme that are set to change come 2026. This could also explain why the category saw a jump in the total number of bids submitted this session compared to the last.
For those who have yet to secure their cars, there's no need to fret: The 2026 Singapore Motor Show is set to kick off early next year come 8 January, so there ought to be plenty of deals to look out for. And of course, the typical jump in COE premiums to anticipate.
See all of you in 2026.
