Concept cars revealed: Audi Quattro

The Audi Ur Quattro of the 1980's was the fore-father of many of today's super coupé's. It had permanent AWD, a sub-1,360kg weight, seating for 4, and a turbocharged 5-cylinder™which made 200+ horsepower big numbers back then.

The current-day concept car, which is set to début at this year's Paris Motor Show, features a 5-cylinder turbo. But unlike the original, the new one packs 408-hp, and 354 lb-ft of torque.

The new Quattro weighs in at less than 1,360kg, and feeds the turbo-5's power through Audi's torque-vectoring AWD system, with a 40-60 rear biased power split.

Inside, the Quattro Concept gets leather covered Sparco bucket seats, and the latest version of Audi's MMI infotainment system.

The new Audi Quattro isn't slated for production. But, if they get enough positive feedback, maybe they'll entertain the idea.
